Make Me Groove!

FINALLY! A new Janet video. I don't get the concept...I guess its just a dance/beauty video. Its very simple in black and white, and focuses on the dance and Janet. It has some odd off moments, but I like it. Its just good to see her looking good, and sounding better than ever. She's definitely back on it...Enjoy this cut!

Don't stop 'til you get it up!

Kill or be killed?

Answer: Kill.

Unfortunately, I chose to be killed. I got layed-off on Monday (womp-womp). it took a couple of days for me to talk about it because it really hurt me. I didn't think it would get to me, but it did - it really did. I was told that I "lacked motivation and passion" and that "my productivity level wasn't up-to-par with company standards". That's complete bullshit. What am I suppose to walk around cheesing all the time while folding down tables of shirts? As far as my productivity goes, I had great sales in there...AND good UPT (units per transaction).

I know deep down it was just to get out the non-follower and bring in the friend to take my position. As crazy as it sounds it sucks not to be a kiss-ass sometimes. It also sucks to fuck with me. Karma is a bitch. That's all I'll say about that. But get rid of me because I really didn't do my job, not because you didn't train me how to do my job and I wasn't meeting YOUR standards. If I was at least trained in my position and I slacked off then I would understand, but my SM didn't ever take the time out to properly train me. I was often left to improvise in many situations when I couldn't get that assistance I wanted. In the end, whats done is done. I will just move on, but will never forgive her.

Thank God BBW still loves me...question is do I still love it enough to go back...

One thing I did learn from this was to always speak up when something is wrong. Regardless of the situation. Its not snitching when your job is in question...but I'd rather know very little than too much. That way I can clear my name out of anything. Its better to have no news than any at all, sometimes.

TANGENT: I need to change my banner and colors..this bright stuff is making me annoyed. Lol.

Caught Up In The Romance!

What is there to say, really?! How about a few words..like...phenominal, epic, artistic, genius, avant-garde, couture/fashion-forward, extraordinary, superb, exquisite, fucking amazing...I can go on and on. Lady GaGa did the damn thing with the video for "BAD ROMANCE". Please watch below and enjoy this masterpiece of a music video!

Lack Of A Heartbeat!

Yesterday, all I could think about was leaving work...even before getting to work! I felt this way because I knew right after work I was heading to Garden State to go to BestBuy and get my new headphones. I am a HUGE music lover, and I LIVE for bass and good beats. I like to feel my music in my skin. I like to hear a beat that is pulsating through the headphones, into my ears, and into my soul. I NEED GOOD HEADPHONES! So I decided instead of getting Dr. Dre's extra pricey BEATS by Dr. Dre, I'd get something more affordable and fashionable. I bought myself a pair of HEARTBEATS by Lady GaGa. WASTE of my money in my opinion.

The look is really cute, and shiny. They make you very excited at first glance. They come with 2 different size "buds" - I would call them, for your ears. I replaced the bigger ones they come with, with the smaller ones in the little shiny carrying case they give you to carry your earphones in. Of course to test them out I put on songs I felt had really good bass and beats (i.e. : "LoveGame", "Rock With U", "Don't Stop The Music"). While listening to the songs I found myself adjusting the earphones to my ears way too much. I kept playing with them as they were in my ear, moving them around and pushing them...pulling them out a little. Maybe its just ME, but I was not comfortable at all. I don't really like them. I tried listening to music with them again before bed, and it wasn't working. So tomorrow they are going back and I'll look into something else around the same price. I expected more, but like I said it could just be ME. We'll see tomorrow what I find.

Puerto Rico Takes Over, Once Again!

Wil's Mother and her sisters are back in town! This time around its not for someone's surgery, or to visit the family. Unfortunately, one of the 13..YES 13 sisters has passed. Its a really sad time for all of them, and they've all come together as well as others in the family to pay their respects.

I'm actually very happy to see his Mother. She's one of the sweetest women I've ever known, and never judges. I love that most about her. I just wish we weren't seeing her for reasons such as this.

____

So while everyone is out at the funeral, I'm home alone (with Skeff actually) site/page hopping and listening to a bunch of music that I haven't listened to in a while. OMG, I forgot how great some of these songs were and what they meant to me way back when I first heard them. If anyone downloads illegally (we all do..) or goes thru iTunes (loves iTunes) purchase these few:

Brandy - Brokenhearted (The Best of Brandy Version)
Christina Aguilera - Underappreciated (Stripped)
Janet Jackson - Where Are You Now (janet.)
SWV - Rain (Release Some Tension)
Diana Ross & The Supremes - Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart (The Definitive Collection)

Random jam session turns into that and then some. OH, and for the many that have yet to see "THIS IS IT"...go see it. Its such a great movie/documentary. I'm very much into that whole behind the scenes look on tours and music videos, and not because its Michael Jackson...but because its worth seeing. He wasn't crazy, he was a perfectionist. I find it very respectable as I watched it, and he's effin hilarious with his "let it simmer" but he made complete sense. When you go see it you'll understand. Its a must see in my opinion.

Thought of randomness...anyone remember "Apple Pie A La Mode", by Destiny's Child. It just played on my iTunes - who knew Beyoncé would go from that to "Single Ladies". Oh how times change.

Until my next random thought, later! :-)

80's Craze!

I went into Saturday without any idea of what I was going to be until Wil and I got to thinking really hard...THE 80's! :-) I love the 80's. I often say I wish I was older in the 80's to enjoy the fashion, music, and all of the fun times people had back then. Unfortunately, I was just a baby. So Halloween was the perfect day to kind of revisit such a fun time in fashion history.

I decided to go all out (with like 3 hours to shop in the mall...ugh) and get tons of accessories, color pieces of clothing, etc. I wound going to XXI and getting these girl jeans (so..*snaps*) that were like a grey tie-dye look with this cool torn look, and this silver leaf chain. From there we headed to H&M and I got a scarf (didn't wear it) and this funky splashed flourescent painted racer-back tee from the girls section. I got some accessories from Claires, like my gloves and belt, and bracelets and bandana from HotTopic. There's also this random costume jewelry store in the mall with cheap shit for lots of money, so I found one $5.99 necklace that was perfect. The wig was from Wil's costume at work, and the shades were from a sunglass stand. Chucks - MINE! Overall, about $100...UGH! - well spent since I LOOOOOVVVVED the costume. But honestly, the whole make-up thing wa super annoying. Having to worry about fucking up my eyeliner and blush got really annoying REALLY quick. I had to clean up a lot in the mirror.
